The location is tucked underneath Maison bab and is easy to miss if you’ve never been. That aside the experience was an intimate evening at a counter top that fits up to 10 guests. The chef walked each group through every dish and was very friendly. I’m looking forward to seeing how the menu evolves after the chef goes on his holiday exploration. :)

What a unique, fun and interactive food experience! It's a 10 seater chefs table where you eat your food from the hot counter. It was 8 courses for £90 and we left feeling very full! My favourites were the beef tartare, mezze of seafood and the sole kebab. The service was attentive and helpful and all the staff made our visit enjoyable!

So so glad to be able to visit Kebab Queen before Chef Philli takes a well earned break herself. The concept is absolutely brilliant, wonderful intimate and unique dining experience with great ingredients and dishes. Absolutely delightful! Everything was at the highest quality and thank you to all the staff making a great night to remember. If I really really really have to pick out a stand out dish it would be very difficult but the shokupan might just gets that spot with a fun twist on the butter from Chef. TLDR: In summary, WOW

Review is for the kebab queen , the 10 seater counter downstairs. Very nice vine , intimate without plates , nice music and lights. Everything is made in front of you , food was overall very good. My only issue was the gap between each serving which I found a bit long. In general , I would recommend to try it at least once.

I dined here a few months ago, and it was the most magical meal of my life! The food was original and unique. I loved being able to eat directly off the heated counter and even make a bit of a mess! It was a refreshing change from traditional fine-dining places where I would get super anxious about every spilt drop on the white tablecloths. Here I felt incredibly relaxed for the long tasting experience. The atmosphere was great - you get the speakeasy feeling of led through the basement kitchen into the posh dining area. Every aspect of the service down to the music selection was on point, the perfect level of warmth and attention without being overbearing. My only minor feedback is that at the time (a few months ago), the cocktail menu was the same as the upstairs restaurant but a couple of £ more expensive, which didn't make a lot of sense to me. However overall, I would absolutely love to eat here again.

Wandering around looking for some food, we saw this place and thought we'd give it a go. We had no reservation but they squeezed us in at their window bar which was fun for watching the outside world go by. The menu wasn't huge, but had something for everyone. Dirty fries with beef as a starter were incredible, but beware the chilli sauce is like fire! Chicken pieces were crispy on the outside but melt in the middle, absolutely cooked to perfection. With mains, we had a Dirty Bab and a Butter Chicken. The lamb was out of this world, cannot put it into words how good it was. Similarly, the chicken was moist, tender and perfectly seasoned. We will definitely look in again when we pass and have recommended it to friends and family already. Amazing.

We loved every second of our time at Kebab Queen – the food, the venue, the service, the atmosphere, everything was on point. Such an original and playful experience, and all the flavours matched up! You’ll be dreaming about the monkfish taco once you’ve tried it. A must try in London!

*CONTAINS SPOILERS* 😜 We didn’t read up on it and was pleasantly surprised.. however, for those who would like a little more detail on this incredibly unique dining experience, read on… You will be seated at a 10 person bar. The tabletop is heated and food is served straight onto the table - no menu, no plates, no cutlery (but you’ll get glasses for your drinks otherwise that would be awkward). The whole evening is expertly handled by sommelier and all round legend Ed; Head Chef Manu explains the dishes and serves the delicious food and sous chef George does the heavy lifting, cooking silently in the background. We had the drinks pairing which is amazing as it’s not confined to wines but also brings in other drinks to perfectly match the meals. The signature main is a monkfish kebab and what a stunner… a perfectly cooked monkfish loin in chicken skin, alongside chicken crackling, a tiny monkfish liver on a cabbage leaf ‘pita’. When you wrap that morsel up, the sauces are oozing out like it’s 3 in the morning at your local kebab shop but the taste and quality is truly fine dining. The team have done an amazing job! There are also some very nice touches where you are offered some extras such as little focaccia breads, chicken crackling, sauces… (more great food is always a bonus). A very well thought through menu with changes with the seasons, so look forward to visiting again.
